Government Allocates K708 Million to Establish National Arts and Heritage Council.

The National Arts and Heritage Council (Nahec) is finally taking shape, thanks to a significant allocation of K708 million. This funding will lay the groundwork for Nahec's operations, as confirmed by Director of Arts Humphrey Mpondamanga.

The establishment of Nahec is a result of the National Arts and Heritage Bill, passed by the Malawi Parliament on September 13, 2024.
